Pancreatitis treatment cost
Pancreatitis is inflammation of the pancreas when its digestive enzymes start to digest the gland itself; it can be acute (often from gallstones) or chronic (often from alcohol). It causes severe upper-abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting, is diagnosed with amylase/lipase blood tests and CT or ultrasound, and treated with hospital fluids, pain relief and treating the cause.
