Periodontitis (Gum Disease) treatment cost
Periodontitis is advanced gum disease in which plaque bacteria inflame and destroy the gum and bone that support the teeth, causing bleeding, receding gums, bad breath and loose teeth. It is diagnosed by dental exam and X-ray and treated with professional cleaning (scaling), gum surgery and strict oral hygiene; the early stage, gingivitis, is reversible.
