Terms of Use

1. What the Service is — and is not
Medical Travel Cost is an information registry that compares published prices and publicly reported quality signals for medical treatment across countries and hospitals.
We are not a hospital, clinic, healthcare provider, medical practitioner, insurer, travel agency, or booking platform. We do not provide, arrange, supervise or pay for treatment, and we do not act as the agent, representative or advertiser of any hospital or clinician.
2. Not medical advice
The content is general information only. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and using the Service does not create a doctor–patient relationship. Always seek the advice of a qualified clinician about your individual condition and suitability for any procedure. Never disregard or delay professional medical advice because of something you read here.
If you think you may have a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately. The Service is not designed for urgent or emergency use.
3. Prices are estimates, not offers
Prices shown are sourced estimates for comparison, gathered from providers' published information, government benchmarks, and other sources cited on the relevant pages. They are not quotes, offers, or a binding contract, and no contract is formed with us or any hospital through the Service.
Prices may be out of date, may exclude taxes, fees, implants, complications or aftercare, and vary by individual case. Currency figures are approximate conversions at a dated third-party exchange rate. Always confirm the current price, inclusions and your eligibility directly with the hospital before making any decision or travelling.
4. No endorsement
Listings and rankings are compiled from sourced data — for hospitals, Newsweek World's Best Hospitals national rank first, then our own published merit grade.
A listing, grade, or ranking is not a recommendation, endorsement, guarantee or warranty of any provider, its safety, or its outcomes. We are not affiliated with, and do not represent, the hospitals or clinicians listed.
5. Third-party names, trademarks and sources
Hospital, brand and index names and trademarks — including but not limited to Newsweek, Statista, Joint Commission International (JCI), and Google — are the property of their respective owners and are used on the Service for identification, description and comparison only (nominative fair use). Such use does not imply any affiliation with, sponsorship by, or endorsement from those owners. Sources are cited on the relevant pages.
6. Accuracy and availability
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Although we apply a documented method to collect, convert and corroborate figures, we do not warrant that the content is accurate, complete, current, or error-free, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or secure.
7. Acceptable use
You may use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial medical-travel research. You must not: extract, scrape or bulk-copy the content except as permitted by our published robots directives; misrepresent or re-publish the data in a misleading way; use it to provide medical advice to others; or use it for any unlawful purpose.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, its design, and the selection, arrangement and compilation of the data are owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual-property laws. Underlying factual figures and third-party marks belong to their sources and owners. You may link to the Service and quote limited portions with clear attribution.
9. Corrections and provider requests
We welcome corrections. Hospitals, clinicians and other parties may request correction or removal of information about them via the Contact page; we may ask for reasonable verification. We aim to review sourced-data disputes promptly and to correct or remove information where warranted.
10. Third-party links
The Service links to third-party websites, including source pages and hospital sites. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability or privacy practices.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any decision you make in reliance on the Service, for any medical, health, financial, travel or other outcome, or for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law — including, where applicable, liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Your statutory consumer rights in your country of residence are not affected.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, losses and costs arising out of your misuse of the Service or your breach of these Terms.
13. Changes
We may change the Service and these Terms from time to time. Material changes take effect when posted with a new "last updated" date. Your continued use after changes means you accept them.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction], and any disputes are subject to the courts of [jurisdiction], without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence.
