Queen Elizabeth Hospital (Hospital Queen Elizabeth) is Sabah's principal public tertiary referral hospital, run by the Ministry of Health Malaysia across two campuses in Kota Kinabalu: QEH1 at Kepayan (open since 1957) and QEH2 at Damai (opened 2009), which was rebranded in 2024 as the Sabah National Heart Centre (Pusat Jantung Negara Sabah) — Malaysia's second dedicated cardiac-treatment facility after the National Heart Institute (IJN) in Kuala Lumpur. Both campuses are listed in MSQH's Sabah public-hospital accreditation registry, with roughly 1,179 combined licensed beds (779 at QEH1, 400 at QEH2).
